In partnership with Saastamoinen Foundation and in collaboration with Cove Park and Scottish Sculpture Workshop, Academy of Fine Arts now launches Ecologies in the Making: Sculpting Futures, a new artists’ residency programme in Scotland focusing on making practices in a time of climate breakdown.
MFA or DFA alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts who work with sculptural methods or material processes can apply for the programme. Applications are welcome from graduates at any stage in their career. The residency is scheduled for autumn 2022.
Funding from the Saastamoinen Foundation covers the artist’s fee, travel, materials and residency cost in both organisations for a total of four months. An additional access budget is offered to support artists with access support needs or caregiving responsibilities to participate in the residency.
The deadline for applications is 23 January by midnight (24:00) Finnish time.
